Partner

[countable noun / transitive or intransitive verb]

/ˈpaːt.n   / people engaged together in the same activity

The good thing about mutual support is: Every participant is a winner!

Having a solid background in tourism & hospitality, we know how to & we know that we enjoy hosting people. But to speak frankly: we do not engage in tourism nor do we accept paying guests. On board, we are all equal and cooperate day by day to make the very best of our floating existence :)

You are welcome to get involved in the project, dream, design & organise with us.
Take choose your daily choirs and responsabilities. Or just keep your fingers crossed.
The same applies while on board and cruising: you can join in and participate or just relax and observe :) Why?

We are glad to be comfortable operating the boat by ourselves.
That's the baseline.

if you wanna go fast, go alone.
if you want to get far, go together.

and we are not in a rush, so

welcome on board!

simple idea

By purchasing & maintaining Tailwind, we create space for up to 10 people. At once.

Over a year we have calculated a total of 50 crew members or partners, that can join the project.

When deducing periods for maintenance & location changes, we can offer every crew member at least 14 days/year on board.

Your contribution towards the running costs is what helps to maintain, re-furbish & upgrade the vessel step by step.

This way, Tailwind is out there & ready for your next stay!

simple plan

Regular crew size being 4-6 persons, we are happy to make exceptions for groups of friends or families!

Fist come, first served basis. Crew/partner
status always for 1 year in advance after a personal interview.

Partners are welcome all year round! The periods are agreed upon with respect to desired location & activities. How long?
Let's talk :).

After investing a ton of energy & time into our beloved vessel, we won't ever be able to sell it again, we guess.
= endownment effect!

But that doesn't necessarily mean that we will spend the rest of our lifespan at sea.
We are open to co-ownership, sharing long term responsibilities, pleasures & challanges.

how to crew: rules

01

exclusivity

Emotional harmony and a sound team-spirit are keys when sharing a compact space & traveling by sailboat.

We accept friends only. If you don't know us personally yet, feel free to get in touch.

02

responsibility

Boat life is great fun! And it comes with it's challenges. Respectful behaviour is therefore more than just an etiquette:

Taking care of your own safety, each other & our floating home is essential.

03

dedication

Life at sea comes at its costs. Sharing those amongst the crew helps to maintain, re-furbish & upgrade the vessel.

The minimal contribution is 1/50th of the estimated running costs per annum.

Thank you for keeping us afloat!

04

involvement

Make it your project! Suggest a destination, a topic for a floating workshop or your favourite sport.

We are looking forward to organise thematic weeks to learn & grow together!
