Crew

[a group of people who work togetherespecially all those who work on and operate a shipaircraft, etc.:]

/kru: / countable noun/plural verb

Having a solid background in tourism & hospitality, we know how to & we know we enjoy hosting people. Nevertheless we decided to form a small, exclusive crew rather than receive guests, clients or customers.

The reason is obvious: We're working together as we're all in the same boat. Sharing the pleasures but also the duties on board adds to a shared, wholesome & enriching experience!

That being said, we are glad to be both – able and comfortable – operating the boat with just the two of us. So our crew is welcome to join in and participate or just relax and observe.

welcome on board!

and we are not in a rush, so

simple idea

By purchasing & maintaining Tailwind, we create space for up to 10 people. At once.

Over the course of a year we have noticed, that 33 crew members, can sustainably join the project.

When deducting periods for maintenance & location changes, we can offer every crew member at least 14 days/year on board.

Your contribution towards the running costs is what helps to maintain, re-furbish & upgrade the vessel step by step.

This way, Tailwind is out there & ready for you to diving into the journey of a lifetime!

simple plan

Regular crew size being 4-6 persons, we are happy to welcome groups of friends or families!

Fist come, first served basis. Crew status always for 1 year in advance. Apply in teams ;)

Crew members are welcome all year round! The periods are agreed upon with respect to desired location & activities. Two weeks at one or split in two.

Once on board, we share the pleasures as well as the duties and costs of keeping Tailwind afloat.

Ready for the full adventure?

Who can imagine partnering up with us, join the nomad life for good or take over (more) responsibility (partially), starts as crew and grows into our project :)

how to crew: rules

01

flexibility

The destination is Tailwind!
Join us. Book us. Find us.

Let's agree upon the period of your stay beforehand – and be flexible with organizing the travel to and from the vessel spontaneously.

We'll give you a rough idea of where we could be – but traveling at an average of 12km/h you'll always be able to catch (up with) us ;)

02

exclusivity

Emotional harmony and a sound team-spirit are keys when sharing a compact space & duties while traveling by sailboat.

We accept friendly ppl only. If you don't know us personally yet, feel free to get in touch.

03

responsibility

Boat life is great fun! And it comes with it's challenges. Respectful behaviour is therefore more than just an etiquette:

Taking care of your own safety, each other & our floating home is essential.

04

dedication

Life at sea comes at its costs. Sharing those amongst the crew helps to maintain, re-furbish & upgrade the vessel.

Your contribution is 1/50th of the estimated running costs per annum.

Thank you for keeping us afloat!

05

involvement

Make it your project! Suggest a destination, a topic for a floating workshop or your favourite sport.

We are looking forward to organise thematic weeks to learn & grow together!
